“Etude” as the name suggests is related to a pedagogical purpose, which has to do with the exploration of the tenor saxophone. It is a moderate level difficulty piece, which starts with an introducton of improvisational character. It is followed by a theme on a Blues form and a set of variations exploring slaps, growl, dynamic variations, big leaps apoggiaturas and glissandos.
