This piece was distinguished with an honorable mention at the "2º Concurso de Composição de Canções para Crianças sobre Poemas Portugueses", organized by the Associação Portuguesa de Educação Musical (A.P.E.M.). It is based on the poem "A aranha e os alfaiates" by António Torrado (*1939).
